In common with other magazines, Folk London has been hit by the increase in postal costs. We have managed, for the past ten years, to keep both our cover price and our subscrition rate at the same cost.However, the latest increases have forced our hand.As Folk London is meant to be a non-profit making, rather than a loss making, outfit, we've been forced to increase our prices.
Both Jeff Dent, of The Committee Band, and me, Gerry Milne, of Folk London, have been elected on to the Folk Roots & Traditional Music Committee of the Musicians' Union.Why should you join the MU? Too much to list here, but contact either of us to learn what The Union will do for you. It's a hell of lot more than you might think and doesn't price your band out of the market!!!
